Mission Viejo

Located in the southern part of Orange County, Mission Viejo is home to nearly 98,000 residents. This community is mainly residential, but there are a few businesses and offices within its city limits. Mission Viejo is a planned community and features a large number of single family homes and condominiums.

Lake Mission Viejo is one of several man-made lakes within Orange County. This lake is bordered by the Market on the Lake shopping villages, with restaurants that offer dining views. There is also a jogging path that stretches for 2. 5 miles around the picturesque lake.

Mission Viejo Recreation Center-Marguerite Complex offers first-rate tennis and swimming facilities to the public. The Shops at Mission Viejo is a newly renovated mall that offers designer retailers, home accessory stores, as well as an assortment of brand name department stores, such as Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue. The Shops at Mission Viejo recently underwent a major renovation and now features skylights and lighter décor, which tends to brighten the entire facility. The renovations were set to accommodate shopping for the new millennium and has become a hit for south county residents.

Capriccio is a casual, homemade Italian style restaurant that is located on Marguerite Parkway, right in the heart of downtown Mission Viejo. Tortilla Flats is a popular eatery for locals, which provide guests with a traditional California-Mexican cuisine. This is a great place to dine outside and have a beautiful view of Lake Mission Viejo, all while enjoying a scrumptious meal.

Annual traditions such as the Easter Celebration, 4th of July, and the Annual Street Painting Festival of the Arts are all fun festivities for people of all ages. The Kaeleidoscope Courtyards offers live music, theaters, restaurants, and stores.
